The 2015 Future Lions – Campaign Design

The Future Lions program, run by digital agency AKQA in conjunction with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, asks advertising students to tackle a simple but challenging brief: come up with an idea for a product or service for any audience that couldn't have been created three years ago.

As a visual design lead on this campaign in 2015 I created the overall festival theme, called "Make Your Move", and established its visual direction around the theme of "chess". I executed the campaign poster and built its responsive website, while art directing the campaign art and on-site installations.

Meticulous Art Direction

I worked very closely with the illustrator, and provided detailed sketches and art direction for the campaign art on a daily basis.


Elegant Brand System

The campaign brand is defined by the clean white marvel look & feel, accompanied by unique gold line drawing graphics. The campaign logo and icons used for the website, and all merchandise products utilizes these brand components.
